GENEALOGY RESOURCES

When visiting the library, click on the Ancestry Library Edition logo seen here to start searching billions of records and discover your family’s story. ALE is not available anywhere except your library. You may use one of our public computers or your own laptop or device to access this service.

Click on Learning Center in the menu of the Ancestry Library Edition website to find instructions for getting started or how to dig deeper into your genealogy projects.

Converse Free Library also subscribes to, and keeps back issues of, Family Tree magazine, which contains an abundance of tips and resources for organizing your research and findings. Search the catalog for available issues or ask for assistance when you are visiting.

For people hoping to do research about their Lyme family history, we have a number of resources at the library. We also work with the Lyme Historians and the Town Clerk’s office to assist individuals or groups in finding as much information as we all can provide to help you along your journey. A phone call in advance helps us prepare for your visit.

Ancestry Library Edition is made available to Converse Free Library users through the generosity of the Friends of Lyme Library.
